Summit is located just 15 minutes outside of Newark, 35 minutes from Hoboken, and 40 minutes from Manhattan. Easily-accessible highways include I-88 and the Garden State Parkway. Public transit is available through the NJ Transit Rail Morristown Line and Gladstone Branch from Summit Station to Newark, Hoboken Terminal, and Penn Station. Though Summit provides easy access to the New York City and Newark metropolitan areas, it is home to a few of its own large corporations and employers. These include Celgene, a biotechnology company, Overlook Hospital, Whiptail Technologies, a manufacturing company, and Hibernia Atlantic, which provides transatlantic submarine cable networks.
